The activity of PGKH in the field of handling low-level radioactive waste and naturally contaminated materials is based on the experience of working in this field during the implementation of the State program for bringing the industrial site of the former "Prydniprovsk Chemical Plan" (PHZ) to an environmentally safe state. Due to this, experts of PMCC were involved in the assessment of the risks of further exploitation of some PHZ facilities and the formation of the policy and principles of the creation of the Working Group of the IAEA, the European Union and the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development on solving problems related to the uranium legacy sites in Central Asia and Ukraine.
